New addition to the Studio

Often when attending a Workshop, the items used by the Presenters are sold.

This was true of the Shimpo Workshop I attended last week AND I was lucky enough to purchase the new 'ergo' Shimpo stool. But the best part - the presenters, Karen Wise and Yosuke Koizumi were gracious enough to AUTOGRAPH the stool for me. YEAH !!

A great Workshop by Shimpo Ceramics

I recently attended a great Workshop at MARJON'S CERAMICS here in Tucson. They hosted the Shimpo team of Karen Wise and Yosuke Koizumi who demonstrated Throwing on the Shimpo Whisper (ooow SO quiet) and carving.

A Visit with Friends

I visited friends recently as they were firing their gas kiln and painstakingly logging all pertinent information. They stopped for a bit to show me their studio and enjoy a refreshing drink by the pool. Thankyou Lynne and Elaine . . . I enjoyed our visit. (And thanks for the loan of the books too)

Bisque firing today, new plates, bowls, and plaques, with luck I can even squeeze in a glaze firing before Saturday's show at St MARK's.
